I'm a sucker for records by nobody singers in these crappy old picture sleeves. This one's a neat little snapshot in musical form of a mediocre bar singer who never made it outside of his local scene. After the grandkids are asleep though, I'll bet ole Pat's got a few stories to tell about the old days...
I like that my copy is autographed too. "Thanks for listening." So polite.
The song is kinda boring. Bummer tune for fathers day, but that's how we do it sometimes at Junk Shop Juke Box.
An old favorite that i was very excited to find an actual copy of recently. And it only ran me three dollars... Picture sleeve and all!
The folks responsible for this recording, whoever they are, are brilliant. Arrangement, performance, over all sound... they absolutely nailed it. It's probably the best Bruce Springsteen song that The Boss never actually sang. That saxophone solo!?! Perfect......
