Dora Hall can do no wrong in my book. I'm old enough to remember her TV specials when I was a kid, and I thought of her as kind of like a female George Burns. My family and I had never heard of her other than those specials, so we just assumed she was famous in some OTHER part of the country---you know the way you sometimes see an ad on national TV for a chain that doesn't have outlets in your area? I think her charm was that she could well have been anyone's Aunt or Grandma. Boy, how I wish they'd air old Dora Hall specials instead of reality TV or American Idol or the like. Thanks for any and all Dora Hall...

I love her back story too. Rich husband financially backs entertainment career of marginally talented wife. It's brilliant.

I'm a little young to remember her tv specials, but i've watched everything i could find of hers on You Tube.
And, of course, her 45s are one of my recent collecting obsessions.
