For all I know, everything on HBR could be totally cool....but if you like this record you really need to look to the Jetstar/Abnak labels out of Dallas.
The Five Americans released maybe 15 singles on Abnak [including the original issue of this record] plus a couple more on Jetstar.
Both labels are chock full of goodies.
What a great singer. I never get tired of listening to the guy. Believe it or not it was the Jay and the Americans version of 'This Magic Moment' that inspired the Sorry Excuse version. First song Chris and I ever played together. There are some incredible versions, old and less old of Jay with and without the Americans of 'Cara Mia' on YouTube.
