This song truly was a brilliant concept, just very poorly executed. Sooo bad. Terry Cashman wrote the original Talkin Baseball as an homage to the all time greats of the game. Over the next several years he did individual versions for most of, if not all (i'm not 100% sure) of baseballs major league teams using the same backing music and vocal melody. The versions i've heard all have great lyrics too, specific to each team. The only problem is that the song itself is a total dud. It's just a shame is what it is. A damn shame.
Oh well, here it is anyway- The Cubs version.
