The latest in my never ending series of records by, for, and/or about the great city of Chicago.
I thought it was interesting that Norman Greenbaum (A native of suburban Boston) is credited as songwriter for both sides of this record. I'd heard this song a long time ago before i found my copy recently, but i had no idea that this is was what old Norm was up to before his smash hit "Spirit in the sky." You learn something new every day.
This tune actually hit #52 on the Billboard chart in 1966... What a time that must have been- Shit like this was on the radio every day. Man, i was put here during the wrong music era...
