Groovin with M.r Bloe

This one was released first in 1969 (this version), and again in 1970 credited to 'Cool Heat.' Why is anybody's guess. I've listened to them back to back, and my ears tell me that it's the exact same song. Same recording, note for note. The flip side of this version is a cheesy slow jam sung by Tony Orlando, The flip side on the Cool Heat release is a silly one-liner instrumental called 'What are you, Nuts?' I actually wish i owned the other version.
It seems there was also a UK act around the same time who took the name Mr.Bloe and had a big hit with it. No word on whether it's the same recording as the other two though.

Former Tommy James & The Shondells songwriter/producer Robert "Bo" Gentry was responsible for all the small pile of discs issued on the short-lived Life label issued 1969-1970. Joey Levine was also involved as a partner on the label.
